Targeted Youth Support
Targeted Youth Support
Targeted youth support consists of a small team of youth workers who are equipped with the knowledge, experience and resources to empower young people in making well-informed life choices and decisions.
Each young person will have access to an identified youth worker who will co-ordinate the delivery of the intervention typically over a 12 week period.
What we offer:
Intensive, short term and timely early intervention and prevention to support a young person in identifying and addressing their needs.
The team can support young people on a range of issues or concerns:
- Changes in behaviour
- Self esteem and wellbeing
- Relationships
- Life Skills
- Being safe (online and out & about)
- Managing emotions
- Low or no school attendance.
- Social and Communication skills
- Family dynamics.
A professional has to refer a young person to receive Targeted Youth Support. You can email tys@jys.je for more information on how to refer. You can also speak to the team in person at one of the following drop-in sessions;
