Salary: 12.73 – 14.32 GBP per hour

Job summary

The Youth Enquiry Service, commonly known as the YES project is looking to recruit enthusiastic and confident Sessional Youth Workers to work under direction, with young people aged 25 and under.

Primarily providing up to date information and advice to young people who access the drop-in centre at Eagle House but can also include supporting other project sessions amongst the Targeted Cluster in the Jersey Youth Service.

Working hours will be on an ad-hoc basis, mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.

Applicants must have a keen interest in supporting young people, feel confident to build positive relationships and have relevant experience in working with children & young people.

The applicant will be required to complete Jersey Youth Service Essentials training either over a full weekend or over 6 weeks in bitesize sessions.

The successful candidate will be required to manage appointments, answer telephone queries, provide signposting and offer a listening ear to young people. There is also the opportunity to work in our outreach sessions.
